CHERRY PUDDING CAKE


1 1/2 c. flour

1/4 tsp. salt

1 c. sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

1 1/2 c. baking powder

1/2 c. shortening

1 unbeaten egg

1 c. milk

SAUCE:

3/4 c. sugar

1/2 c. boiling water

2 1/2 c. sour cherries

Mix cake ingredients together. Pour into 9 x 13 inch greased and floured cake pan. Mix sauce ingredients together and pour over cake batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes.
