CINNAMON ORNAMENTS
3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tbsp. ground allspice
2 tbsp. ground cloves
1 tbsp. ground nutmeg
1 c. applesauce
1/8 or 1/4 inch satin ribbon
Combine spices. Stir in applesauce. Mix well. Roll out to 1/4 inch on ungreased cookie sheet. Cut dough with cookie cutters; peel away and reroll as necessary. Make hole in ornaments with toothpick for insertion of ribbon for hanging while ornaments are still wet. Let ornaments dry flat for 3 to 4 days. Cut ribbon into 10 inch lengths. Insert ribbon through hole and knot at hole to let ornament hang properly. Tie over tree limbs! This recipe makes 25 small or 18 medium tree ornaments.
