HAMBURGER SOUP 1
1 lb. ground beef (or ground turkey)
5 c. water
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
1 c. carrots, sliced
2 stalks celery, chopped
1/3 c. pearl barley
1/4 c. catsup
1 tbsp. beef bouillon granules
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dried basil, crushed
1 bay leaf
Added salt to your taste (optional)
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. pepper
Brown meat. Drain off grease. Add the remaining ingredients. Simmer 1 hour or until vegetables are tender. (Can also be made in crock pot for 4 hours on high power.)
