PASTE
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
30 drops oil of cloves
1 tsp. powdered alum
1 qt. water
Mix the dry ingredients. Add water and cook until thick, stirring constantly. Remove mixture from heat. Add oil of cloves. Store in covered jars.
