KATHERINE'S BARBEQUE SAUCE


1 (16 oz.) jar smoke-flavored BBQ sauce

1/2 c. boiling water

1 chicken bouillon cube

1 c. catsup

1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice

1 1/2 tsp. curry powder

1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper

1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp. dry mustard

6 oz. beer

1/2 c. dark brown sugar

Place all ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to boil. Reduce to simmer; cook 10 minutes, adding more beer if needed. Makes 4 1/2 cups.
