DOUGH ORNAMENTS


2 c. flour

1 c. salt

1 c. water

Mix ingredients thoroughly. Add 1 tablespoon of water if dough will not hold together. Knead 5 minutes. Shape. Poke a small hole for hanging or open a paper clip partially and press half of it into the back of decoration before baking. Place ornaments on lightly greased cookie sheet. Smooth rough edges with a wet knife before baking. Bake at 250 degrees for 2 hours. Paint with acrylic paint and coat with clear shellac. This recipe will not work if halved or doubled or if not used within 2 hours.
